In partnership with Dubuque Museum of Art, Gallery C presents a group exhibition curated by art expert Daniel Klein, who along with director of National Art Exhibitions of the Mentally Ill (NAEMI), Juan Martin, has curated a group show of 14 Cuban outsider artists, outsider because none of the artists have formal artistic training and most have some degree of mental impairment. This exhibit comes to Dubuque from Miami and is considered “outsider art” due to the relationship between art and the artists who are outside and inside the system. The exhibit includes work from Adrián Horta, Boris Santamaría, Carlos Javier, García Huergo Damián, Valdés Dilla, Isaac Crespo Leonel, Fernández Ocampo, Luis Manuel Otero, Alcántara Misleidys, Castillo Roberto, Ofarrill Multan, Pedro Pablo Bacallao Perdomo, Andrián Ramón Pérez Strazhevich, and Martha Iris Pérez Santana.
