Gallery C is proud to announce the opening of “TIDY,” new works by Iowa artist Matthew Mikulice. TIDY is an exploration of order and organization though a systematic approach. The result: calm, tidy, detail and design. Mikulice is widely known for his graphite geometric drawings. This new exhibit explores the aesthetic of order and organization through, drawing, painting, installation, and deconstruction. Matthew Mikulice is originally from Richland Center, Wisconsin. He holds a B.A. in studio art with an emphasis in drawing from Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa and has exhibited throughout the Midwest including Madison, Freeport, Ames, and Dubuque. He currently lives and works in Dubuque, Iowa. “My work is an extension of my personality,” Mikulice states, “I am one who is most calm in a neat, tidy environment and my favorite work by other artists reflects the same.”
